Tonight's sketch is of a Great Cormorant drying it's wings. I saw a lot of this during easter, but didn't get around to do any sketches in the open. This one is from a photograph, but I tried to do it as quickly as I would have had to with a live bird. The adult Cormorant's feathers are almost always reflecting light.

Cormorant

Thank you both! I've seen quite a few cormorants sculptures in Norway as well - they are popular souvenirs in the North.
