I just returned from a brilliant easter vacation! We stayed in the observatory at Mølen, and the weather was unlike anything I've experienced in April before. The warmest day saw temperatures of close to 20 celsius. A high pressure like this is not at all ideal for watching birds at Mølen, with almost no visual migration during the day, but with a bit of an effort, I still managed to welcome returning "Africans", like Willow Warbler, Whitethroat, Lesser Whitethroat, Yellow Wagtail, Wryneck, Tree Pipit and others. A nice little rarity also popped up, while I was drinking my coffee on the porch of the cabin: A beautiful Serin suddenly started singing from a tree a 150 meters to the north-east. It sat long enough for me to take a few crap shots through the telescope. It was my first encounter with this stunning little bird in Norway.
I managed to do some painting outdoors again, one of the sketches is shown above.

Hola Oivind,
